Welcome to the lo-tech blog wiki - a low tech computing site run by James Pearce.

Purpose

lo-tech.co.uk is the home of what I think is the fastest 8-bit ISA storage device for PC/XT class hardware - the XT-CFv3 (currently in test) - and some other hardware projects.

The site started as a 'vintage blog', the idea being to build a kind-of on-line museum detailing old computers I came across, with a wiki for documentation and other notes. But things have developed in a different way, the focus having become more the creation of hardware for these old machines. For me it's much more interesting, and besides, there's a wealth of information available on-line about pretty much everything already.
